Maude Cyril Nagle Schmidt
(1873 –1947) Maude was a leading voice of the Herkimer County Suffrage Convention back in 1917. She was elected leader of the county organization and was heavily involved with the activities of the Ilion Suffrage Study Club.
Always civic minded she became the first woman leader of the Herkimer County Republican Committee along with memberships in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Red Cross, and Ilion Historical Club. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Muriel Cornelia Zoller, wife of Supreme Court Justice Abram Zolier, Herkimer.
